In the West, we are very unfortunate in the realm of Spirituality… and the reason for this is that the Energy of Spirituality is invisible to our physical senses. As a consequence of this, very few in the West realize they are missing the only part of themselves capable of experiencing God… who has hidden Himself Within every Soul.
In the Bible, this hidden presence of God is called Spirit, and this Spirit must be awakened within a person… if that person’s Soul is to awaken to the Spirituality of God Within him or her self. Christ spoke of this to his disciples, and promised them that he would send a “Comforter” [or Advocate, or Holy Spirit] to them that would awaken this Spirit Within them, and this then would enable them to KNOW God.
John 14:25 All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
If the disciples of Christ needed to have the Spirit awakened Within themselves, would it not be wise for us to imagine that we must have this Spirit awakened Within us as well? In the East, this ‘need’ for a God-Realized Soul to awaken the Spirit Within oneself is well-known. But in the West [which is strongly influenced by a Christianity taught by the Popes], this need for a God-realized Soul to “Initiate” a person’s Soul has been replaced by physical ritual and Intellectualism.
“Intellectualism” is usually defined as the use of intellect absent emotion or emotionality. The emotional dimension of oneself is denied [in so far as possible] in Intellectualism, in other words. And this definition omits a rather important element, which is the fact that a denial of one’s emotionality is a denial of one’s MIND, because the energy of the MIND is emotional energy [but this is not recognized by modern mental health]… see MIND. In point of fact, I refer to the “Malady of Intellectualism” as a problem of Man. A problem wherein the MIND uses the brain to prevent a person from becoming aware of the Esoteric [invisible] dimensions hidden Within each human being.
in short… Intellectualism is a denial of ones MIND and the emotionality of the MIND. There are four simultaneously existing, and yet entirely separate vibrational dimensions that comprise the whole of Man. Only one of these is physical and discernible by ones brain. The other three are invisible to the brain and physical senses. There is a type of human being who is naturally “protected” from discovering the Esoteric [invisible] dimensions existing Within Man by the MINDs of such people. The reason for this protection is that such people are not “ready” to awaken to the Spirituality hidden Within themselves. I refer to such people as Intelack type people.
And this extraordinary nature of the Spirit [is in contradiction to] the notion of the Popes, who believe they have the same ability as that of Christ [when even Christ had the “Advocate” or Comforter sent to his disciples by God, his father]. The Spirit Within Man is a “special” thing? And not something one can discover on ones own, or merely by use of ones intellect alone? And this point deserves some thought… Which we will pursue in Part II.
Peace, Brother James
